Introduce Yourself and Meet Your Team
Let’s Get You Plugged In
Before we kick off contracting, let’s get you fully plugged into the team:
- Create your NASB email
- Send in your headshot
- Join the team group chats
Knock these out and you’re ready to launch your career.
Set Up Your NASB Email
Before you do anything else, create a new Gmail account using the format below — this will be your official NASB email. It must be separate from your personal email.
Once your NASB email is set up, the next step will walk you through updating your contact info with NIPR. This ensures the Department of Insurance and all carriers have your correct email on file — so you don’t miss any important communication during licensing or contracting.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your hiring manager.
We recommend using the format firstinitiallastname.nasb@gmail.com.
Example: John Doe → jdoe.nasb@gmail.com
If that’s already taken, add a “1” after “nasb”: jdoe.nasb1@gmail.com
If you go by your middle name, use your middle initial instead of your first.
It’s completely fine to go by your middle name — it’s no less professional. Just make sure that when filling out your NIPR application, you spell out your middle name fully. This ensures your license and business cards will match how you want to be addressed.
Important: Use the official Gmail app — do not use your phone’s default Mail app, as it may block or filter critical emails from insurance carriers.
Note: When setting up your Gmail account, choose “Personal Use” when prompted.
Upload Your Business Photo
Here you will upload a photo of yourself that will be used to introduce you to the group as well as shout you out when you hit promotions, finish in the top 5, and other forms of recognition. If you don't have a professional headshot, that's ok. Just get a friend to take a nice photo that you would use on a business card that looks clean and professional.
Join the Team Chat
Download WhatsApp Messenger so we can plug you into the group chats. You’ll see your teammates winning, get support from the team, and stay motivated and inspired by the people doing what you’re about to do.
